Alternative medicine uses some different approaches to treating cancer, depending on the type of cancer, and the degree of its progression. Doing all you can to prevent cancer, or at least to lower your risk factors, is advocated. If you have a problem, it pays to check with a natural healer to explore your options to traditional chemotherapy, radiation or surgery.
Skin cancers are often treated by alternative medicine. A kind of home remedy that has been shown to work well is Cymilium. Cymilium is a cream that is available over the counter to treat insect bites. It usually is packaged as a box of little pouches containing the cream. The treatment advice is to apply the cream several times a day to the lesion, rubbing in the cream until it disappears. It is recommended that you wash your hands after application to remove the excess cream from your fingers, as it could cause irritation. The main active ingredient is ammonium hydroxide 3 percent (household ammonia) in an aloe vera base, along with pancreatin, cetyl alcohol, diazolidinyl urea, and some emulsifiers, oils and carriers. Except for the ammonia and the pancreatin, most of the ingredients are found in regular skin creams and lotions.
The urea compounds can enhance the penetration of the active ingredients at the cellular level by breaking the surface tension of fluids that surround cancer cells. Cancer cells in the lab die in an environment of high pH levels. The ammonia raises the pH level to one that causes cancer cells to die. The pancreatin helps by breaking down the proteins in cancer cells.
